OCR finds words. OCR is better than humans at finding words and letters in images.
OCR = Optical Character Recognition for those wondering “what the heck?”
When text appears inside a product image, the real question is whether a shopper can actually read it, and read the critically important text quickly enough for it to matter.
That’s where objective image testing using OCR with clever algorithms becomes interesting.
RHINO combines OCR, the APCA contrast algorithm and the Cambridge University CamCAST algorithm to look beyond whether text is present and assess the factors that influence glance readability, from contrast and character size to font weight and text presentation in CAPS or lowercase. (Lowercase is faster to read).
RHINO is the only AI creative testing tool for visuals that delivers Glance Readability Scoring.
