I didn't start in AI.

I didn't start in AI.

I started by admitting I didn't understand it.

That was 3 years ago.

Today 65,500 of you are here.

And I think the reason is simple.

I never pretended to be an expert from day one.

I was curious.

I was confused.

And I refused to stay confused.

So I did the work.

Every concept I couldn't explain to someone else, I went deeper on.

I broke it down until it made sense.

Then I shared what I learned.

With my newsletter.

With you on LinkedIn.

Every week for 3 years.

Here's what 3 years of that taught me:

AI is complicated.

It's not the dystopia where machines run our lives.

It's not the magic wand the hype merchants sell you either.

The more I read, the more I work with it, the more I understand.

Its limitations.

The politics.

The threats to us.

And the opportunities for us.

It's neither good nor bad.

It's both. At the same time. And that's okay.

What I believe:

Humans should not be replaced by AI.

Humans should be powered by it.

That's the difference I care about.

No matter where you stand on AI, one thing matters more than your opinion:

Your information.

Whether that's learning how to use AI in your workflow.

Understanding the real implications of data collection.

Knowing what AI cannot do because of how it works.

Or cutting through the noise to see what's real.

The more you learn, the more you realise:

We all hold the power over how this goes.

That's what I'm here to help with.

65,500 of you and counting.
