Amazon ads lost him over $25k in the last 12 months
Turns out that unknowingly, he had been getting charged $1,500-2,500/mo from Amazon ads for a single sponsor display and one sponsored product campaign his previous agency didn't turn off
You might ask "Well, what were his sales from that?"
Just over $50/mo from paid ads
He is an older guy, not very tech savvy, and Amazon hasn't been his priority
The real issue here is that Amazon is more than happy to take sellers ad dollars regardless of the return they receive
This brings one thing into question
Shouldn't Amazon have better limitations?
We can all look at him and say "Well, how did he not notice?" "Why didn't he look at it sooner?"
Both are true, but at the same time, what is the limit for that? $1,000 is your fault? $10,000 is your fault? $100,000 is your fault?
