Amazon just gave B2B sellers new leverage.
Amazon Business Deals went live across ten marketplaces, including the US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, Mexico, and Australia, giving us a discount option built specifically for registered business buyers, separate from anything running on the consumer side.
The thing is, this doesn't behave like every other promotion where you turn it on before an event and check back once it ends, like a Lightning Deal or a coupon.
This is a little more specific, the deal runs entirely off your Business Price, not your public listing price, and if a SKU has no Business Price set, the option to add that ASIN stays greyed out until one exists, no exceptions.
Additionally, eligibility gets pulled from your pricing history, not today's price, since Amazon checks your deal against the Validated Reference Price and your 30 to 60 day non promotional low, so a discount that looks fine on paper can still fail if your price history does not support it, and once live, committed units work as a soft cap, Amazon starts deactivating around 90% sold but system latency means orders can clear past that number before the deal actually shuts off.
So if this sounds like something that would fit to your brand, you should check your calendar because it is already stacked with Labor Day, Prime Big Deal Days, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the full Christmas run that land in the next four months, which makes this the window to set a Business Price now, confirm your reference pricing supports the discount tier you want, and get in front of the 11 million registered business accounts before every seller in your category figures out the same thing.
♻️ If your network sells on Amazon Business, repost this so they catch it before the next event window opens.
