The model did not get smarter.
The harness got smarter.
I shipped three loops this week on models I already pay for.
I did not open the picker.
The old move is still the default. The job dies. You swap Opus for GPT. You swap GPT for Grok. The prose gets prettier. The same step still fails.
A new decimal is not a system.
Amazon Premium A+ used to be a module dump. Five blocks and a hope. The live loop is a 1464 desktop one-pager, then a catalog rollout that copies the pair. Same model. New pass order.
A speed test used to be a chat that described latency. The loop searches Google, runs the results widget, and has to return Mbps. If it cannot read the number, it is not done.
A 1:1 used to end when Zoom ended. The loop is the recap in their inbox, with a replay they can actually open. If the link is gated, the call did not ship.
None of that needed a smarter brain.
It needed a second pass I owned. A check the model does not grade.
If a job failed this week, do not change the model first.
Write one loop. Run it again on the stack you already have.
The picker is shopping. The loop is the operating change.
