Channel 4 just aired a documentary titled "The Great ADHD Myth".

I have lived with an ADHD brain for decades, through 30 years at Unilever and building RHINO at Neem, and I can tell you there is nothing fictional about it. My bosses will tell you the same.

My brain runs hot.

It throws hundreds of lateral ideas at me from the minute I wake up, connecting dots across e-commerce, design, and data that most linear thinkers miss. That relentless firing is the exact reason I never run out of things to write, build, or test.

When you give an ADHD brain a problem it genuinely cares about, the hyperfocus is formidable. You see patterns early. You spot where an entire industry is looking the wrong way, and you pursue the fix with obsessive intensity. 14 year partnership with Sam Waller and University of Cambridge on Accessibility.

Calling that lived neurodivergence an imaginary trend completely misunderstands how many creators, builders, and innovators actually operate. It does mean I have to build deliberate systems to channel my brain surges, and periodically throw myself down a muddy trail in Wales on a full suspension mountain bike just to quiet the chatter down. I don't mind if you think I'm a bit "extra". I know my brain loves a wee bit of adrenalin and dopamine, and I know just where to find it...on my bike.
