I'm hosting a 200 person marketing conference called "Everybody Hates Marketing" and our opening talk is titled "Everything is Fucked" ✌️
because why not?
everybody *does* hate marketing and everything *is*, well... that.
when we built the agenda, the whole point was being honest about what's gone wrong rather than sticking a plaster over it, so starting the day with where social media went wrong felt like the only place to start, because once you understand the hole you can actually build the fix.
George Sullivan, founder of The Sole Supplier is opening with exactly that with, from the mistakes to avoid during the feed apocalypse, to following your customer down the rabbit hole AI is taking them on, to being part of cultural conversation without gatecrashing it.
