Founder: Amazon changed our price again.

Founder: Amazon changed our price again.
Me: How many times this month?
Founder: 3. It went from $30 to $45 to $28.
Me: And you have no vendor manager to call about it?
Founder: They're all gone.
Me: Hmmm, I wonder who benefits from that...!
Amazon automated 1P pricing and laid off the vendor manager team. The algorithm runs on Amazon's low-price guarantee logic. It's designed for Amazon's benefit, not yours.
2 options if you are here:
ONE: a differentiated Amazon-only SKU line (Pro, Plus, or Gold) so Amazon's price-matching logic has nothing to compare against
TWO: open a Price Dispute case in the 1P vendor portal. It's not fast and not reliable, but it's the only formal path left. Document every swing with a screenshot and timestamp. Create the paper trail.
If your price is swinging, you're not alone and you're not imagining it. You just need to stop assuming the rules are accidental.
