A lot of Amazon sellers are quietly worried about AI.

Not that it'll destroy the marketplace. But that it'll make their hard-won expertise... irrelevant.

I get it. The concern makes sense on the surface.

It's completely wrong.

Here's what AI actually does: it widens the gap between sophisticated operators and average ones.

The seller who knows Amazon — knows how to read TACoS trends, catch keyword cannibalization, spot an inventory risk before it becomes a stockout — that person with AI is terrifying.

They're catching things in minutes that used to take hours. They're asking their own data questions instead of waiting on weekly exports. They're running automations that flag PPC inefficiencies in real time.

The seller who doesn't use AI? Still running the same playbook. Still reactive. Still behind.

Right now, the sellers actually using AI at an operational level are in the top fraction of a percent. Most people are still treating it like a content tool or a Google replacement.

That window won't stay open long.

The sellers I'm watching build real advantages right now are using AI to:

→ Query their Seller Central data conversationally instead of pulling reports

→ Automate inventory reorder triggers before stockouts happen

→ Surface keyword and ASIN anomalies before they cost real money

→ Run account audits that would've taken a full day in under an hour

The expertise still matters. More than ever, actually.

AI just makes it unfair for the person who has it.

Instead of fighting it — use it. This is where Amazon is going. The only question is whether you're ahead of that curve or catching up to it.

What's the one part of your Amazon operation you'd want AI handling first?
