Reading Q2 candidate feedback today, this stuck with me
"the timezone difference is a big win"
companies often start with the mindset that every team member has to work the exact same 8 hours each day, at the same time
i've worked with teams both 4 hours ahead, and 4 hours behind, and to me, both have their benefits.
our client is in Europe, the candidate in India
the client stated they love that when they log off, they note down some questions in the group chat. maybe a task.
when they log on, their EOD task list is either complete, or partially complete
and their questions and beautifully answered, with data, not just a rush answer
This isn't what everyone wants. I accept that.
But it's valuable for people to think of the benefits, as well as the cost, of not working at the exact same time.
