Every vendor thinks they have a relationship with their vendor manager.

Every vendor thinks they have a relationship with their vendor manager.

Some do for sure, but most don't!

Here's how to tell the difference:

Every conversation ends with a request for investment

"Support" always means money, never means action

Your JBP is a list of your commitments, not shared ones

Range reviews happen to you, not with you

The only time your phone rings or you get an email it's AVN season

If three or more of those sound familiar, you're not a partner.

You're line on a budget.

And here's the uncomfortable bit that's not your VM being difficult. That's your VM doing their job, because nobody on your side has given them a reason to treat you differently.

Partners bring the VM something they need.

The others just say yes.

Which one are you?
