hills i will die on about posting less !!!!

1. your audience should miss you sometimes: i went quiet for two whole weeks after a big content push recently and came back with better ideas, and people noticed i'd been gone. the feeling of "oh, she's back" only exists if there was a moment of "where did she go?"

2. if another creator could post it with a find-and-replace on the name, don't post it: that's the filter i use for everything now, especially Pretty Little Marketer content (reason 100 why you won't catch us doing ye olde marketing round ups anymore tbh). if it's not building equity for *you* specifically, if someone else could slap their logo on it and nobody would blink, it's just noise. the bar should be: does this only make sense coming from me?

3. the internet is a landfill and most of us are adding to it (heard this at SXSW London). "does this need to exist?" - if the answer is no, closing the app is probssss the most strategic thing you can do

4. taste is the most underrated skill a creator can have: the ones who last aren't chasing every trend, they have a clear point of view and they stick to it even when it's tempting not to. saying no to content that doesn't fit is harder than saying yes to everything

5. i once took five weeks off PLM content to rip up my content pillars and start completely over. five weeks!!!! that's terrifying when everyone's telling you consistency is "key" but posting through uncertainty just to "stay consistent" would've diluted everything, and i think a lot of creators confuse anxiety with strategy *mic drop*

your content schedule is allowed to look like a person made it, because one did ✌️
