Here's a sad story

"I'll contact my credit card company"

I build AmzDesignKit years ago.

Because people kept asking me to share examples of good Amazon content.

And I kept doing it. For free.

Here you go. Here you go. Here you go.

Then I made a little product out of it.

Paid developers (claude wasnt a thing), spent money, to make it a little easier for them to browse the gallery.

Then people asked for a little more.

And a little more.

And eventually I had to start charging a small amount.

Often less than $20.

Then it happens for the first time.

The Stripe dispute.

You're a bit confused.

You jump all around the houses seeing if it's a fair claim.

you get all your evidence together over 20 minutes.

And then in 3 weeks time you lose the claim. And it costs you $80 for that $20 transaction.

And after a while, you just say to yourself, what is the point?

So today, after another email threatening me with credit card chargebacks, I seriously debate whether to bin AmzDesignKit. And just focus on my main job of building Pare.

It's not a big revenue channel. It's not really profitable. I just maintain it as a service to the community.

But maybe there's just no point in that now.
