Video in Sponsored Products is going to become increasingly important for you to think about. Here's why:

Amazon might have launched it for you, without your permission, BUT

It is now YOUR ๐˜ฑ๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฃ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ to optimize.

I promised more on Sponsored Product Video in a post earlier this week. Here's 11 weeks of real data from a few different brands. May 1 to Jul 19:

๐Ÿ”น $217.5K SPV spend

๐Ÿ”น 9.2% of SP spend across the period. 13.6% over the last 4 weeks

๐Ÿ”น Weekly ROAS climbed from 2.0x to 2.9x

๐Ÿ”น Weekly video spend held around $24K the entire run.

13% of SP spend and growing? That is something to keep an eye on.

Likely just Amazon testing the new placements, continuing to ramp up exposure.

We also launched new creative. Short, benefit-driven videos hit full rotation in June-July for SPV.

CTR went from 1.25% to 1.62%. The 4 weeks since: 2.8x ROAS vs 2.4x the prior 4. ACOS down almost 6 points.

Same budgets. Same targets. More delivery from Amazon. Different creative.

SPV now performs within 0.1x of the account's overall SP ROAS. 2.8x vs 2.9x.

The placement is running at near parity with the rest of Sponsored Products.

If video is anywhere near 10% of your SP spend, and you haven't isolated it, it's time to look into it.

Pull the Sponsored Products Video report (same Reports flow as Monday's Prompts post). Check your share of spend, then your CTR spread by product line.

One warning: the export rolls all your videos into one line. Per-video winners take more digging. That's exactly where the answers are.

What % of your SP spend is video right now? And how are you leaning into it?
