This interview shocked me.
"You're an idiot"
I sat, stunned. Listening to the client barking down at the candidate.
'Do I jump in?
'Should I pull them out the call?'
'Should I end the call entirely?'
All questions I asked myself.
But I didn't do anything.
What the candidate did, that shocked me even more.
They didn't falter.
Just continued to make impressive, passionate arguments regarding their strategy.
I learned a couple of things.
Not everyone will be great to work for.
Remaining professional is a brilliant characteristic. Especially if you're on the receiving end of aggressive behaviour.

One thing I was particular impressed with is our head of operations calling the candidate afterwards. Checking in. Getting them in a good mood again.
