The biggest brands are losing on TikTok Shop. And they should be.
Go look at the top sellers in beauty, supplements, apparel. Brands you've never heard of. $22 price points, tight creator briefs, and products that convert on camera.
A no-name supplement brand with a $22 price point and a good creator brief will outsell a household name charging twice that every single time. The algorithm rewards what converts on camera, nothing else.
Apparel is where this is showing up the most right now. We see it taking off because the format is built for it. Someone tries on a jacket on camera, their followers see it, and the buying decision happens in three seconds.
The visualization is the sales pitch.
The brands worried about TikTok Shop returns eating their margin are solving a problem that doesn't exist.
If you're a $2M apparel brand and you're not on TikTok Shop because you think you can't compete with the big guys, you have it backwards.
The big guys can't compete with you there.
The brands figuring that out right now are the ones taking share from companies ten times their size.
