Everyone is on Teams now.

Everyone is on Teams now.
Thirty minute meetings.
Shared screens.
Sending emails instead of being present.
Muted microphones.
Cameras off.
Then businesses wonder why relationships seem transactional.
I've been doing this for 16+ years.
In person meetings are still the most valuable commercial tool I have, because of what happens around it.
The conversation before it starts (when someone's relaxed and they say the thing they wouldn't say on a call.)
Gathering around the whiteboard where a problem that's been discussed for months gets solved in 20 minutes with a marker pen.
The lunch afterwards, where you find out what's actually going on in the business... real pressures, the real priorities, the things that don't make it onto a Teams agenda.
You can run a perfectly competent business relationship remotely.
But you can't build a genuinely trusted one.
In 2026 when vendors are under margin pressure, when AVN's are getting harder, when the relationship with Amazon feels more transactional than ever..trust is the commercial advantage most brands aren't investing in.
Get in the room.
With your vendor manager.
With your agency.
With your consultant.
With your internal team.
The best commercial decisions I've seen vendors make in the last year didn't happen on a call.
They happened over a coffee when someone finally said what they'd been thinking for six months.
When did you last have a genuinely useful in person conversation about your Amazon business?
