Couldn’t make it to the New York Marriott Marquis last week for the first big Amazon event in the city? Don't worry, I got you covered.
I spent the day getting face-to-face with Amazon execs so you didn't have to.
Here are some of my main takeaways from last week's Amazon Seller Growth Summit in NYC:
1 — AI, AI, and AI tools!
Amazon's Dave Nadel and other execs like Katie Scott delved into what to expect when you're expecting... AI tool development at Amazon, being one of them.
What will Seller Assistant evolve into and offer in terms of helping sellers solve problems? So far, it's mostly flagging or pointing out problems or offering FAQ-style content. In Q4 and 2027, it'll be bigger, better, and more far-reaching... at least, this is what we're hearing.
2 — Listing enhancement tools!
They're hinting at and sometimes showing how listing optimization will improve in the months to come. Q4 alerts, here we come!
3 — Compliance is still on you!
You will still need a compliance arm (either in-house or an agency) that understands not just how to list something to sell, but how to follow all Amazon rules and guidelines, legal or otherwise.
Finally, the summit was, as Accelerate always is, a prime opportunity for face time with Amazon execs at meaningful levels of the company.
Whether it's sales-side, "let's generate more revenue with you!" guidance or "hey, time to report bad guys to us the right way without breaking rules" people, the event in NY was the right place to talk particulars.
The Amazonians present had lots of ideas about IP tool reporting, AI or not. These discussions are ongoing, and we're excited to see what's next.
Their biggest takeaway for sellers? Please, please, please stop clogging up their queues and brains with generic AI copy-and-paste tickets that don't include salient abuse reporting details.
They notice! And they hate it, or ignore it.
Lastly, a major shout-out to everyone who came out to our happy hour last week! The photos demonstrate how much fun it was (I hope).

We had so many fantastic conversations with brand owners, caught up with familiar faces, and met some incredible new ones.
We’re already planning the next one. We aren't locking down exact dates or locations just yet, but word on the street is we might just be hosting something in Seattle this September for the Amazon Accelerate Conference.
Keep an eye out for updates, we hope to see you there!
