Your team is probably using AI on your Amazon account right now.
And there's a good chance it's making one person smarter... while doing almost nothing for your brand.
Here's what that looks like in practice:
Someone on the team figures out a sharper way to pull search term reports. Or they build a PPC bid model that actually works. Or they set up an alert system that flags restock risk before it becomes a stockout.
Cool. Smart. Genuinely useful.
Then it sits inside one account. Forever.
The next brand on the roster? Still doing it the old way. The new client that onboards next month? Starting from zero. The insight never travels.
This is the AI trap. Not that the tools don't work — they do. The problem is they're being used tactically, not systematically.
One smart play for one account isn't a capability. It's a lucky break.
I watched this play out up close. Someone was genuinely excellent at building AI-driven workflows — client-specific, well-built, real results. But those workflows lived and died inside that one account's bubble. The rest of the team never saw them. Other brands never benefited.
That's not an AI problem. That's a knowledge-sharing problem that AI is making more expensive to ignore.
If you're working with an agency or have an internal Amazon team, ask them one question:
"What AI workflows have you built — and are those improvements being applied systematically across my account?"
If the answer is vague, the tool is being used as a party trick, not a competitive edge.
The agencies and teams that are actually pulling ahead right now are the ones treating AI breakthroughs like product updates. Something one person figures out gets documented, shared, and rolled out everywhere — fast.
That's when AI stops being a cool thing someone does and starts being an actual advantage.
Has your Amazon team shown you how their AI use is improving your account specifically — or is it mostly vibes?
