We are currently seeing a dangerous trend inside Amazon's internal operations: basic documentation reviews that used to take days are stretching into three to four weeks.
When a listing gets flagged for a standard compliance check, sellers who have the exact documents Amazon asked for are submitting them, only to wait a nearly a month for a reply.
Even worse, if the reviewer skims the upload too fast, things go wrong.
He or she misses a page and issues a generic rejection, then the seller is forced to resubmit, effectively resetting that multi-week clock.
If your hero ASIN goes into queue purgatory a month before a peak sales period or even Q4, your BSR (Best Sellers Rank) will plummet to zero before you ever get reinstated.
What makes this worse is the conflicting advice coming out of Account Health reps. When a seller asks why their review is taking weeks, reps often say: "Oh, just open a standard Seller Support case instead and we'll route it to the right team."
Even worse, they'll pretend to "Escalate" it for you. It's a word misused that does not result in the right action.
Do not fall for this trap.
If you submit compliance docs through a standard support case, Amazon often auto-replies telling you that you must use the Account Health portal.
Or Seller Support replies with the original notification, without routing your case to the Compliance team.
Don't sit around and wait, when the wait is fruitless. Particularly if they keep rejecting complete documentation or are asking for docs which don’t apply to your product.
Leah is working on these cases constantly. She sees the lower level teams regularly rejecting documentation because it’s an easy way for them to maintain their KPIs, without having any real knowledge of compliance requirements.
She knows how to provide the information in a way that Amazon actually reviews it. And when the lower level teams can’t do that, she knows how to escalate it to someone who can.
Audit your manufacturer relationships, keep your compliance files accessible, and ensure your team knows how to navigate the portal without guessing.
And show us or ask for our help, when you need it.
