Amazon is auto-rewriting your titles on July 27th.
If you don't act first... Amazon's AI is going to touch every listing that's over 75 characters and truncate it automatically.
No warning. No preview. No approval from you.
Just... whatever Amazon's algorithm decides your title should say.
Here's why that's a problem.
Your title isn't just a label. It's your primary keyword real estate. It's your first conversion hook. It's the thing a shopper reads in 2 seconds and decides if they click.
An AI trimming it to fit a character limit doesn't care about your top keywords. It doesn't care about your conversion rate. It cares about 75 characters. Period.
After $550M+ in managed Amazon sales... I've seen policy changes like this separate the prepared from the passive every single time.
Here's what to do before July 27th:
1️⃣ Audit every ASIN. Pull your titles and flag anything over 75 characters.
2️⃣ Rewrite them yourself. Don't let Amazon decide what stays and what gets cut. You know your keywords. You know what converts.
3️⃣ Do it in bulk. Going listing by listing is a death march if you've got more than 50 ASINs. Use a flat file or a tool that lets you push changes at scale.
4️⃣ Prioritize your top revenue drivers first. If July 27th sneaks up on you, at least protect your best sellers.
This isn't catastrophic. It's manageable.
But only if you move now.
The sellers who wait are handing Amazon's AI the keys to their listing copy. The ones who move this week stay in control.
Amazon rewards the prepared. Every time.
Have you already started auditing your titles... or is this the first you're hearing about it?
