Last week, Anthropic gave AI a Slack account.

It's called Claude Tag. You add Claude to a channel, and anyone on the team can tag @ Claude to hand it a task - same as you'd @ a coworker.

Great feature but is this true “multi-player mode”?

I’d say no, honestly.

I know everyone is psyched for this, and I’m sure my team will get value from it, but what has been more valuable is having our personal AIs interact with each other and with the team.

Essentially, we bring in our personal AI Chief of Staff (CoS) to reply with *our* access points.

Ex: my content lead can ask my personal AI CoS in a channel “hey, did Allie already set up time with the Mars Company?”

My AI CoS classifies that task into risk levels.

If it’s low risk, my AI CoS replies on my behalf.

If medium/high, it asks for permission or blocks the request.

Our personal AI Chief of Staff can also collaborate with each other and cowork.

That, to me, is multiplayer mode.

This release is a new surface and is creating a new AI employee with its own memory and access points.
