I used to treat all placements the same.

I used to treat all placements the same.
Top of Search, Product Pages, Rest of Search - just felt like “where the ad shows up.”
So I’d set bids once and hope for the best.
That’s where most of the wasted spend was hiding.
Then I started looking at it properly.
Not as placements… but as completely different performance environments.
Top of Search behaves one way.
Product Pages behave another.
Rest of Search is its own world.
So instead of guessing, I started adjusting bids based on actual performance.
Using Ad Badger’s Amazon PPC Bid Calculator, I could finally do it properly.
It helped me set bids using real numbers like:
• revenue per click
• conversion rate
• target ACOS
In one case, just adjusting underperforming keywords brought a 12% drop in wasted spend.
A bidding calculator is a must-have tool for any serious Amazon seller.
