As many a World Cup match has shown us, sometimes you're riding high today, only to be cut down tomorrow.
We cheered Norway on Friday and they came up short, but one thing is for certain: They maintained their fervor and support for their team, and they didn't let a crushing defeat dim their spirits!
They'll be back, to be sure.
That's a lot like how we all have to look at Amazon work, today's incredible reinstatement appeal and escalation victory could be tomorrow's roadblock.
It happens, you know it'll happen eventually, and you just have to power through it.
Maybe you didn't have the greatest Prime Day ever? That's OK, let's learn why and how.
Maybe you followed some not so wonderful appeals advice? We know it. It's not a sin and it's not purely a statement on how you run your business.
It's one to learn from.
Once early on in my Amazon "seller investigations" tenure, when I had lost patience & experienced frustration with a seller's "shot in the dark" appeals they kept emailing in, I annotated their account with "another bs explanation from this seller."
My intolerance or lack of necessary patience got the better of me, and my boss called me in.
"It's OK to think that, but maybe, you know, don't annotate it." He wanted me to figure out what the seller missed, or how to communicate better.
He was right, and he called it "one to learn from." And I did, and never had that happen again.
so, Norway -- it's not over yet!
Learn from any unfortunate results, stay positive, and capitalize on the new knowledge you have from facing formidable competition on the world stage!
