Premium brands don't fail on Amazon because they're too expensive.

They fail because they're trying to compete the same way everyone else does.

One objection I hear constantly from Shopify brands is:

"Our products are too premium for Amazon."

I disagree.

Amazon isn't only a marketplace for low-priced products. It's a search engine where buyers already have purchase intent.

The opportunity isn't chasing every high-volume keyword. It's identifying the long-tail searches where customers value what makes your product different.

That's how premium brands can build profitable rankings without competing solely on price.

If your marketing is driving demand through social media, influencers, or paid ads, there's a good chance many of those shoppers are checking Amazon before they buy.

Ignoring that behavior doesn't make it disappear.

It simply gives your competitors an opportunity to capture the sale.

If you're serious about building a profitable Amazon business, you need to understand what customers are actually searching for—not what you assume they're searching for.
