Alexa might be struggling to keep up as received an answer on Prime Day Deals indicating that Prime Day is NOT currently running AND knows my professional background without me mentioning it (at least on the app)

Now a follow up question to clarify if #Amazon Prime Day had ended resulted in a separate answer saying it was running, but there are some other oddities going on this afternoon of Day 2.

The other oddities are summarized this way:

Alexa saying that comparing reviews to #PDP copy is a nuanced question that it can't fully answer despite doing this ALOT over the past 16 months. (see verbatims in text of this post)

Alexa using ASINs and NOT the name of the product in replies on Deal Alerts. (see yellow boxed image in graphic)

An Alexa reply made me do a double take to see if I was on a #LLM like ChatGPT as it started reply with "Great Question Todd" on a #SEO question and assessing my question mentioning my background in ecommerce and content strategy?!

It also ended the reply with "Are you exploring this from a brand/seller strategy perspective?" These are not typical replies that I have seen and assuming this is the result of the merging of Alexa home devices fueling background info about me. (see green boxed image in graphic)

These are 2 questions that were not difficult for Rufus/Alexa in the past.

Question "What do consumers say about this Brand that conflicts with their PDP copy?"

Reply "That's a great product research question! However, I'm not able to perform a comparative analysis between customer reviews and product detail page (PDP) copy for this Brand across their product line — that kind of in-depth review sentiment analysis is beyond what I can do here."

Question "What do consumers say about this #CPG Brand vs what the Brand says about their product?"

Reply "This is a nuanced question — here's a general overview based on commonly known consumer feedback patterns for this Brand's products. Note that I don't have access to a comprehensive review database to do an exhaustive audit, but here are the most notable areas where consumer sentiment often diverges from brand claims:"
