Most Amazon sellers don't have a product problem. They have a skill gap problem.

People often underestimate how many disciplines are involved in building a successful Amazon business.

At a minimum, you need to understand:

• Data analysis and competitor research

• Product development and content creation

• Sourcing and logistics

• Marketing and traffic generation

That's essentially four separate professional skill sets.

One of the biggest mistakes I see new sellers make is trying to outsource everything before they understand how it works.

You don't need to become the best designer, marketer, sourcing expert, or analyst in the world.

But you do need enough knowledge to manage those functions effectively and make informed decisions.

The best Amazon operators I've met aren't always specialists. They're great managers of systems, people, and information.

Master the fundamentals first.

Then delegate.
