Big news - women’s AI usage has caught up to men’s, according to Pew Research.
When Pew first ran this study in 2024, women’s adoption was 28% while men’s sat at 39%. As of February 2026, that same study shows them nearly neck and neck at 47% and 50%, respectively.
Over the last 2 years, we all kept hearing the stat that women were adopting AI 25% less than men. And it looks like at least one big study is showing that data point is changing.
Adoption rates can only tell us so much, but for overall career advancement, the gap closing is promising.
The study also showed that men are more likely to use AI for work, and that women are more likely to use Meta AI, and that women are more likely to think AI is advancing too quickly. If you want to read the full report, you can grab it here: https://lnkd.in/efbiSse2
