UPDATE 5:44am CT: Alexa for Shopping Deal Alerts now starting to be sent to my email with 3 of my 37 alerts activated and functional. Here is what is interesting when you click on the "Show my Prime Day deals"
Alexa for Shopping indicates they will run this price alert on the "NEXT Prime Day or Major Sale Event." This is interesting as previous iterations said each day of the 4 during this Prime Day in 2026 and didn't know these might be active for future tentpole events. Imagine if Brands had asked consumers to set up deal alerts, the potential LTV of that free ask.
Also, an offer of a budget cap is mentioned. When I asked how to add a budget cap, here was the reply and notice the cumulative $ total of the recommendations on the bottom:
Great question, Todd! Budget caps for Deal Alerts aren't a self-serve setting you can configure directly in the app today — but here are a couple of ways to work around that:
Options available right now:
Tell me your budget — I can filter the deals I surface for you based on a spending limit. For example: "Only show me snack deals under $50 total" or "Keep each item under $15."
Set individual price alerts — For specific products you want to buy only at a certain price, I can set a price alert so you're notified only when it hits your target.
Add to cart manually — Since your snack alert is informational (not auto-buy), you stay in control of what you add and spend.
Want me to help right now? The snack deals I just showed you total about $143 if you grabbed everything. Want me to help you pick a subset that fits a specific budget?
