We are less than a week away from Prime Day, and the "messy season" is already hitting sellers hard.
Lately, I’ve been talking myself blue in the face with brand owners who are dealing with a massive spike in malicious mis-categorization attacks, illicit ASIN contributions, and fake allegations of "misbranded" products or worse.
Tis the season...of rampant anti-competitive attacks. SAS Core needs to be a part of resolving problems quicker...not stalling.
What troubles me most?
Even the brands paying $5,000+ a month for SAS Core are getting left in the dark.
Cases are opened, and answered with generic or unhelpful responses.
That's a lot to pay, per month, in order to essentially fix it on your own.
Some SAS Core reps answer critical abuse reports with unnecessary requests for the brand to explain how their seller account has been affected.
Well, if your main core ASINs are down, why do you need to connect those dots? Isn't the cratering sales rank or category abuse enough?
If you keep getting messages that your whole account may get deactivated due to someone else's attacks, it's not too hard to grasp.
If they are asking you to "prove how the buyer experience is being negatively impacted" by a blatant competitor attack, well...
SAS Core reps need to talk to abuse prevention and other internal teams, on your behalf, and shake out that nonsense.
Certainly, document where you're attacked and how, but make sure they lean their shoulders into the wheel, too. Shouldn't all be up to you!
If you don't have SAS Core, you cannot afford to experiment or guess. You have to get your appeals and escalations right the first time.
You know you can't count on standard seller support cases to save your hero ASINs on the eve of Prime Day, or during it. Don't bother with that.
Your Prime Day experience is yours to control and defend.
Don't sit back on your heels waiting for Amazon to do its job.
