Amazon just made the first 75 characters of your product title the only characters that matter on mobile. But for Prime Team Agency clients, nothing has changed.
Starting July 27, Amazon is requiring all titles to be shortened to 75 characters. A new 125-character item highlights field sits below it.
We've been building to this standard for the last two years. The first 75 characters have always been the highest priority for us because we've known for years what a customer actually sees on mobile. So for us, this is a minor tweak.
If you have NOT been doing this already, this represents a major shift.
The same thing is true of Cosmos and Alexa for Shopping. We've already built those into our content optimization. Amazon is going to keep pushing in this direction. If you are not preparing now, then when the shift comes... you're gonna be freaking out.
But for us, no freaking out, no drama, and no issue.
That means we are 100% focused on one thing right now for our clients: Prime Day Readiness and prep!
Are you ready to go?
