I lost my top voice badge in December because being busy in the real world got in the way of my commitment to "posting value" so let me tell you all the things I've been up to in the past 6 weeks instead:

→ interviewing for my first ever full-time employee, for a business I started by accident 6 years ago on my sofa

→ working with a HR consultancy to get ready to hire someone legally (turns out buying a hiring contract from a dodging online website wasn't the best practice)

→ hosting a podcast for freaking Meta

→ flying to Barcelona to speak at fatjoe.'s FatJocial (hola I'm literally here today talking this afternoon all about how LinkedIn is cool now, ironic)

→ worked with my business coach Alice (AKA. Jesus) on our 2027 business plan to establish Pretty Little Marketer as a *real* publication and expand my "personal brand"

→ bagged myself an invite to Austin in August (Austin friends show yourselves please do we need a PLM mini-meet up?)

→ clearly got over being an ex-Top Voice-holder

→ got featured in Ad Age's "B2B creators brands are betting on in 2026 list" eeeeeeek

→ averaged a new 500 page book ever 4 days

→ kickstarted our brand repositioning project with a whole new Pretty Little Marketer logo (she cute)

→ GoDaddy kindly gifted me the "sophiemille dot com" domain (how cool)

→ wrapped up my time as a guest lecturer at UCL after teaching their entrepreneur students this academic year (tell me how many people five years out of uni can put lecturer on their CV pls I'll wait)

→ rarely managed a good post that taught you anything new

→ hosted a Scroll Forward preview breakfast ahead of hosting a 200 person conference this September, hosted by none other than Adobe Express and Modash

call me butter I'm on a roll !!!

PS. I'd still like my badge back please

double PS.  I wrote this list to show you that you don't need a little badge nor anyone else's pat on the back to tell you you're doing well 💌
