Agenda points in an Amazon trading reviews that nobody challenges.

Sales are up 18%.

Good. What's margin doing?

Sales and margin move independently...most trading reviews only show one of them.

We hit our ACoS target.

ACoS is an advertising metric.

It tells you the ratio of spend to attributed revenue.

It doesn't tell you whether you made money.

It doesn't account for CoOp.

It doesn't account for freight.

It doesn't account for the chargeback that landed the same week.

Hitting ACoS target on a marginal ASIN isn't a win.

Our Vendor Manager is happy with our performance.

I'm sure they are....but happy vendor managers and profitable Amazon relationships aren't the same thing.

Trading reviews should tell you whether the business is getting more profitable.

Most of them just tell you whether it's getting bigger.

What metric is missing from your next trading review?
