Amazon Prime Day is 10 days away, so no more staring at product detail pages for your ASINs, wondering if you should make last-minute changes.
Making unnecessary moves right now can backfire dramatically, triggering automated compliance bots or policy warnings that will take your listing down right before the traffic spikes.
Don't even think about it!
Unless it is an absolute emergency, and Amazon prompts you to correct an error, leave it alone.
There are two critical exceptions where you have to fix your listings immediately to avoid a Prime Day takedown disaster:
- If something is fundamentally inaccurate or misleading about your product description, fix it now.
With the massive surge in Prime Day volume, any discrepancies between your page and the actual item will lead to a flood of buyer complaints, negative reviews, and immediate account health flags.
Returns, bad reviews, you get the drill. Your sales rank will die off.
- Check your titles, bullet points, and back-end search terms for hidden IP violations or "suspected infringement" as Amazon likes to say.
If you are mentioning another brand name, trademarked keyword, or using someone else's copyrighted images, remove them immediately.
An IP claim right now will freeze your inventory and ruin your entire summer sales event. And it may take days for Amazon to reply, too.
If it's not a major listing error or an IP violation risk, don't touch it. The compliance bots are watching.
