I had a post reach over 20,000 Amazon employees
1 week later they made a public announcement change
Here's the full story
A few weeks back I broke news about Amazon Ads no longer having credit cards be the primary payment method
They planned for this to be a small incognito roll out
One that didn't affect many people, but would be the testing ground for the program(common tactic before full rollout)
The post blew up across socials, news outlets, group chats, you name it
Since then, I have had the pleasure of speaking with many different Amazon reps — Many didn't even know this was happening before my post
My post was shared in internal Amazon messages and circulated throughout their org
In Amazon's eyes, this was supposed to be something minor
In every sellers eye's, this was a giant slap in the face
Over the next week, a storm broke loose with even orgs like MDS saying they were turning off ad spend(not that it would actually do anything)
A week later, Amazon announced they were going back on their initial plans
At the end of the day, it just proves one thing
Sometimes the sellers voice does matter
