Auto-assembled is mid. Intent-matched is videomaxxing.
There's a new checkbox in Sponsored Products settings.
It's called AI Auto-Assembled Videos. Check it, and Amazon builds a product video for you using the images and assets already on your listing. No creative team. No production cost.
My ad team spotted it this week.
Until now, having video in your ads was an edge. Video placements convert well, and the sellers that had video got cheap wins.
That edge is about to disappear.
When every seller can check a box, video placements fill up with the same auto-generated slideshow built from images already on the listing.
A video stops being an advantage, but a great video becomes one.
The best video ads we see don't just show the product. They match the creative to keyword intent. An air purifier ad for "allergy relief" looks different than one for "better sleep." Same product, different story, different buyer.
Amazon's AI can't do that. It doesn't know why someone is searching.
So yes, check the box. Free video beats no video, especially on ASINs where you have nothing.
But if that checkbox is your whole video strategy, you're about to blend into a wall of identical AI slideshows.
The checkbox is the floor. Intent is the ceiling.
