Most Amazon vendors lose margin in an AVN before the meeting even starts.

Vendors turn up with no benchmark for what comparable vendors are accepting.

No model showing what a 1% Coop increase actually costs at their revenue level.

No clarity on which terms are fixed and which ones move if you push.

So Amazon make their position clear and poor terms are accepted thinking I'll claw it back through performance.

That actions compounds every year.

The vendors consistently protecting margin through an AVN aren't tougher negotiators. They're better prepared, they know their detail, they know exactly what they're defending and why.

Preparation is the only lever that's entirely in your control.

When's your next AVN and does your team have a clear position yet?

If the answer is we'll sort it closer to the time...that's the gap I'd start with.
