Utopia Brands are one of the biggest sellers on Amazon ➡️ they have 88 'ppc' people, mostly in Pakistan.
You DO need more hours on PPC. You DONT need to hire US citizens.
We previously, when an Amazon ads agency, competed against Utopia bedding. We swapped places throughout the month of who was the top seller. Our client was a top 40 seller, but they could never truly win the crown off Utopia.
We were spending circa 20 hours a week. Plus another 40 hours from the clients internal hire.
We put 60 hours in. Utopia put 400+ hours in (conservatively estimated 20 FT at 40h/week - probably much higher).
My second point, regarding US citizens, is in no way a dig at the quality of work ethic. It's just what's affordable.
Our data, and we've got more than any company on this role now, shows a senior Amazon ads manager in the US gets 120-150k easily. Plus then circa 20-25% on top for employment costs.
This just caps the amount of hours any company can afford to put into advertising.
Whereas, if you pop your head up outside of the US (or the UK too for that matter), then you'll see you can get equally qualified talent, for a massive cost saving.
This isn't new. I know.
And so many big brands will just ignore these facts. Stubbornly telling themselves "this is what we've always done."
But be aware, other brands will put 2, 3, 10 times more hours into solving their amazon problems.
Think of any recent example where you put twice the time in, you likely saw better results.
Apart from golf, where I feel that's an exception 🤣

We help brands hire senior Amazon advertising managers in house. It’s the only role we hire for. Pare.so
