I built myself a dashboard of everything my audience is saying (every comment, DM, Slack thread, and reply) all in one place, telling me what's landing, what's not, and what to do next 👋🤓 AD
and the wildest bit is I didn't have to wait for someone else to build it - I just built it myself.
I've said this on LinkedIn before: I'm interested in AI, but I am not an expert. I don't know how to code, I don't know how to build things, I'm a curious newbie at best.
so when Perplexity reached out and asked me to try Computer with one brief, build something you'll actually use every day, I said yes - and this was the first thing I thought of.
one of my biggest challenges isn't just keeping up with marketing, it's keeping up with what's important to my audience. I want my content to answer a question or solve something for someone, every time. and sure, I can check my Slack threads and my comments and my DMs, but when you've got a thousand other things going on in a week, it is hard to keep track of it all.
so meet my PLM conversation tracker: one dashboard for everything our community is saying, asking and feeling with a sentiment score, hot topics, the quotes driving the mood, content ideas pulled straight from the comments, a live feed from inside the Insiders Slack, and a map of where the conversation is (just for fun!)
💻 you can remix my Perplexity Computer tool so you can build your own version: https://lnkd.in/eq4MZiG2
I didn't type one prompt and let AI do the job. I started with a long, detailed prompt about what I wanted and the problem I was trying to solve. Perplexity Computer built its first draft and then I gave feedback - it wasn't my branding, it wasn't complex enough, I wanted pop-outs, I wanted to filter, I wanted a mood tracker in the middle.
the thing no one really talks about with these tools: it's not magic, it's a conversation. a few rounds of that and I had a tool that feels like mine… which is the whole point - you're not getting someone else's version of a dashboard, you're getting yours!
PS. I’ll drop my prompt and some tips in the comments because the build itself was one of the most interesting things I've done all month!
