AI creative still needs a human quality gate.

Especially on Amazon.

Because the risk is not just "this looks bad."

The risk is:

This shows the product inaccurately.

This creates a claim we cannot support.

This shows a use case the product was not designed for.

This makes the size look misleading.

This makes the material look different.

This gets the listing flagged.

Speed is powerful.

But speed without control creates problems faster.

We have tested AI-generated concepts across categories.

The strongest use case is not replacing the whole creative process.

It is accelerating the early exploration.

Angles.

Layouts.

Scene ideas.

Comparison concepts.

Lifestyle directions.

Ad variations.

That is where AI can save a lot of time.

But before anything goes live, it needs human review.

Not just design review.

Amazon review.

Category review.

Compliance review.

Buyer expectation review.

I like a simple 5-point quality gate:

Does the product look exactly like the real product?

Are all claims supportable?

Is the scale honest?

Is the use case realistic?

Does this help conversion, or is it just visually interesting?

That last question is important.

A lot of AI creative looks impressive for 3 seconds.

Then you realize it does not answer anything the buyer needs.

It is visual noise.

Amazon shoppers do not reward visual noise.

They reward clarity.

This is why I do not believe the future is AI or human.

It is AI plus strong creative direction plus human quality control.

AI gives speed.

Humans give judgment.

The brands that combine both will produce faster without losing trust.

The brands that skip the quality gate will create beautiful problems.

And on Amazon, a beautiful problem can still kill conversion.
