I built an Amazon creative agency.

Now I’m building the software that is forcing agencies like mine to evolve.

It’s a strange position to be in.

But it gives me a very clear view of what’s happening.

The Amazon creative industry is not dying.

The “image delivery business” is dying.

There’s a big difference.

A few years ago, sellers paid agencies because they had no better option.

They needed someone to handle strategy, photography, design, copy, revisions, and execution.

Now, sellers can generate 20 creative directions, test them, upload the winners, and see results much faster.

I see this every week.

Sellers use ListingOptimization.ai, launch new creatives, and message me saying sales went up.

That changes how people buy creative services.

They’re not asking:

“Can you make this look nice?”

They’re asking:

“How fast can we test this?”

“Will it improve CTR or CVR?”

“Does the ROI make sense?”

And that is where the market is splitting.

Some creative businesses will win because they are fast, AI-native, affordable, and built around testing.

Some will win because they are premium, strategic, high-touch, and only work on listings where the upside justifies the cost.

But the middle is in trouble.

Too expensive to be efficient.

Too average to be premium.

Too slow to compete with AI.

Too tactical to be strategic.

This is uncomfortable for me to say because AMZ One Step is also an agency.

But I think it’s the truth.

The dangerous agency is not the bad agency.

It’s the average agency that still believes average work deserves premium pricing.

AI is not replacing creative businesses.

It is forcing them to prove the value they actually provide.

If your value is:

“We make images.”

That is getting weaker every month.

If your value is:

“We help you test faster, learn faster, and turn creative into revenue.”

That is getting stronger every month.

That’s the shift I’m seeing.

Not from theory.

From being on both sides of it.
