I've audited hundreds of Amazon accounts. The ones that plateau fastest have one

I've audited hundreds of Amazon accounts.

The ones that plateau fastest have one thing in common.

They learned PPC somewhere else first.

On Google, you go broad → then narrow to exact.

Restriction is the final form.

On Amazon, excessive restriction destroys your CPCs and collapses your market reach.

On Meta, you hand the algorithm your creative and let it find the audience.

On Amazon, handing the algorithm full control means losing the levers that drive organic ranking.

Neither playbook applies here.

Not even partially.

Amazon ads are their own ecosystem.

Their own logic.

Their own tradeoffs.

The algorithm is getting smarter.

Dynamic bidding works better than it did two years ago.

Related targeting is genuinely performing.

Auto campaigns are surfacing placements that manual strategies miss entirely.

But the Amazon algorithm is not optimizing for your profitability.

It's optimizing for its own marketplace health.

Which means you need to know when to work with it.

And when to pull the reins back.

That balance..

algorithm + human strategy is the thing that actually moves ranking without destroying margin.

If you learned PPC on Google or Meta, you're not starting from zero.

But you need to unlearn some things.

→ What's the biggest adjustment you made when you moved to Amazon ads?
