Should you accept bulk buy requests in #Amazon Vendor Central?

✅ Yes, if you must forward sell-in.

❌ No, if you care about your bottom line.

Here's why:

- Amazon will order the volumes anyway (at full price)

- You reveal that you have room for cost price reductions

- Bulk order discounts materialise in Net PPM YoY

- Vendor Managers will ask you to repeat them

- You weaken your leverage in AVNs

Internally, bulk buys are easy to justify.

They grow sell-in.

They help hit quarterly targets.

They align nicely with bonus structures.

But they rarely hold up under a full-year margin view.

If you care about profitability, these decisions shouldn’t sit with sales teams alone. They need CFO-level scrutiny.
