Amazon terms are negotiated under pressure.

Suppressions are live or incoming

You’re told the % is standard.

That everyone accepts it.

That there wasn't any room for negotiation.

Maybe it was true, maybe it wasn't.

Either way most vendors don't fully understand what they agreed to until the invoices start landing in their inbox.

5 questions I'd ask before your next AVN:

Do you know your total conditional and unconditional investment as a percentage of invoiced sales and have you modelled what happens if sales drops 15%?

Which terms are fixed and which are actually negotiable...do you know the difference?

What's your damage allowance funding %, and how does it compare to what's actually happening?

Have you ever tried to benchmarked your terms against what comparable vendors are accepting?

Does your team know that AVN prep should start at least 6 months out not 6 weeks?

Terms are where margin is won or lost before a single unit is shipped to Amazon.

Brands lose ground because they come unprepared.

🚀 I help Amazon vendors increase their margins by 5-20% in 90 days.
