AI slop is not the threat. Bad agencies are. I was testing Listing Optimization

AI slop is not the threat.

Bad agencies are.

I was testing Listing Optimization AI today and honestly…

This is the first time I felt like creative agencies should be a little nervous.

I generated a full set of Amazon listing images and A+ content in minutes.

Not random AI images.

Not “cool looking” designs with no strategy.

Actual Amazon-ready creative.

The main images had clean product positioning.

The infographics covered real buying arguments.

The A+ content looked like something an agency would deliver.

For example:

SPF 50 protection.

Water resistant up to 80 minutes.

Reapply after swimming, sweating, or towel drying.

Twist-lock nozzle.

Fast body spray application.

Dermatologist tested.

Hypoallergenic.

Oil-free.

Gentle on skin.

And the crazy part?

A lot of these points were not clearly covered in the current listing images.

That is where this gets interesting.

AI is not just “making images” anymore.

It is starting to understand what buyers need to see before they trust the product.

And this was still just the first draft.

No heavy editing.

No long creative meeting.

No back and forth with a designer.

No waiting 2 weeks.

Just product research → creative direction → main image variations → infographic images → A+ content → AB Testing → Direct Seller Central Upload.

All in one flow.

People keep saying “AI slop.”

And yes, a lot of AI creative still looks bad.

But let’s be honest…

AI is getting better every single week.

What looks like slop today will look like agency-level output tomorrow.

So I don’t think AI will replace every creative agency.

But I do think it will replace agencies that only do execution.

Because execution is getting cheaper.

Faster.

And more accessible.

The agencies that survive will be the ones that bring real strategy:

Why this image?

Why this message?

Why this hook?

Why this angle?

Why will this make someone click or buy?

That is where the value is moving.

The future is not “AI vs agencies.”

It is AI-powered agencies vs agencies still operating like it is 2020.

And that gap is about to get very, very big.

Curious what you think.

Do Amazon creative agencies need to worry?
