One of the biggest misconceptions in ecommerce is that winning on Amazon requires massive ad budgets.
In reality, a lot of brands are simply spending inefficiently.
The sellers who consistently perform well usually understand:
• keyword intent
• pricing psychology
• conversion mechanics
• profitability thresholds
• customer behavior
Much better than competitors.
A high ROAS by itself also doesn’t mean much if the underlying economics are weak.
I’ve seen smaller brands outperform larger competitors because they operated more efficiently instead of trying to dominate through spend alone.
Amazon is not just an advertising platform.
It’s a system where:
pricing,
ranking,
conversion,
reviews,
and operational discipline
all work together.
The brands that understand those relationships usually scale much more predictably long term.
That’s a huge part of what we analyze with DataDive:

Do you think most brands overspend because of competition…
or because they don’t fully understand their own economics?
