I'm taking the *whole* of June off from public content and the way i'm making sure it doesn't tank everything is something I think more people should plan for 👋

we're halfway through the busiest month my business has ever had and I'm knackered.

this July, we're launching a big repositioning campaign for Pretty Little Marketer, rebranding all things "Sophie" *and* hopefully making my first full-time hire.

and I need a moment (or a month) to catch up and align or I might genuinely go insane.

so, here's how I'm going quiet without going dark (and destroying my entire business in the process):

→ keeping my community warm without performing: the PLM membership, my weekly newsletters and a very exciting content challenge coming soon - none of that stops, I'm just not adding public content on top of it. there's a difference between showing up for your community and showing up on a feed, and June is me leaning into the first one while stepping back from the second. if you have any version of a community or an email list, that's your anchor when you go quiet publicly.

→ staying in the conversation without creating content: comments and DMs still exist. I don't have to post to be present, and this is where the most useful interactions happen anyway.

→ planning my re-entry before i leave: I'm not coming back with a normal post, I'm coming back with something designed to reach. if you've been around Pretty Little Marketer for a while you'll know the ones i mean ("the instagram you knew is gone", "we broke gen alpha's internet") - because after a month off you don't want to ease back in with something small, you want your first post to do the heavy lifting. a reach piece hits the algorithm hard straight away, so you're not spending weeks rebuilding momentum.

and despite still working behind the scenes, I'm excited to disappear from the internet for 4 weeks (bar our previously scheduled AD content of which I hope you still enjoy because I pour my soul into them)

going quiet on purpose is a strategy 0 going quiet by accident is how you lose momentum.

you've just got to know which one you're doing ✌️
