Most people get this wrong at the start. They hand control to the algorithm too

Most people get this wrong at the start.
They hand control to the algorithm too early…
and wonder why their budget disappears with nothing to show for it.
Here’s the truth:
In the beginning, your job isn’t to “optimize.”
It’s to be seen.
That’s why starting with fixed bids can make sense,
especially if you’re trying to rank.
You’re buying data.
You’re buying visibility.
You’re telling the platform: this matters.
But once you have traction?
Switch to dynamic bids, down only.
Protect your spend.
Let the system cut waste, not inflate it.
And whatever you do, don’t jump into up & down bidding too soon.
That’s how you lose control before you ever had it.
Start simple.
Stay intentional.
Scale with data, not hope.
