Most Amazon sellers think the problem is competition. It’s not. The real problem

Most Amazon sellers think the problem is competition.

It’s not.

The real problem is they don’t understand where sales are actually coming from.

Early on, we had wins.

But a lot of it was luck.

Jennifer Young and I didn’t fully understand why certain products succeeded and others didn’t.

So we went deeper.

We analyzed:

Which keywords were driving revenue

How competitors were ranking

Where their traffic was coming from

What gaps we could realistically take advantage of

That led to one core question that drives everything:

How are current sellers getting their sales?

If you can’t answer that, you’re not building a strategy.

You’re guessing.

And guessing increases risk more than anything else in this business.

The shift happens when you move from assumptions to data driven decisions.

Are you making decisions based on data or assumptions right now?
