44% fewer new Amazon sellers registered this year than last year.
What's left is the hardest competition Amazon sellers have ever had.
The drop shippers are gone, and de minimis killed the arbitrage model. All the sellers left standing survived because they are not rookies.
Fewer sellers means more concentrated ad spend, higher CPCs, and category leaders with real budgets defending their position.
The marketplace isn't easy; it's gotten more expensive.
This is a huge consolidation opportunity. But only for brands that are ready to compete at the new level.
If you're coasting on what worked 2 years ago, the shrinking seller pool is not good news for you.
